Throughout the 70 minutes of sonic destruction that make up the crushing 2010 full-length release, "Hypersleep", VYGR combine devastating riff-driven sludge , ambient doom, and atmospheric-rock into a deadly 12 track slab of space-inspired Melodic Doom Metal. "Hypersleep" was produced by Zeuss at Planet Z Studios (Hatebreed, The Acacia Strain, Shadows Fall), showcasing the enormously heavy aesthetic of the band's sound.

I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin
